Women Forward is a movement created by advisors and now co-led by Advisor Group that is focused on supporting women’s career growth across all of our network firms and throughout the financial services industry. The Women Forward initiative offers actionable programs to foster career growth for female professionals, including our annual conference; a thriving and high-impact 1:1 mentorship program; the W Pulse podcast; and exclusive networking opportunities. In the past 18 months, we have added innovative new enhancements in response to advisor feedback, including extensive new podcast entries, new Facebook Group engagements, and a series of support resources aimed at helping NextGen advisors, including a Career Exploration guide and presentation toolkit for advisors, among others.

In 2019, Advisor Group launched the CyberGuard Program, an evolving toolkit of cybersecurity services and support platforms aimed at empowering its advisors to protect themselves and their clients from the ever-increasing threat of cyber-attacks.  The program includes comprehensive cybersecurity insurance, including coverage for breach-response costs, regulatory liability and business-disruption losses; discounted access to a cloud-based data backup solution that gives advisors encrypted access to files from their laptops, smartphones and other devices; access to a network-auditing platform that continually monitors advisors’ systems to identify security gaps; enhanced email and file-storage capabilities with strong authentication and security monitoring features; and access to a service that scans the dark web for stolen advisor login credentials.

Advisor Group once again demonstrated its commitment to innovation this year with its reinvention of Unified Managed Accounts (UMA) for both advisors and clients.  Through a multi-phased strategic initiative, we identified opportunities to modify our UMA program and approach to make these accounts more accessible and user-friendly, as well as making them a better fit for a broader range of advisors and clients. Our UMA program has been successfully redesigned from the ground up to serve as a one-stop shop for portfolio management on Advisor Group’s Wealth Management Platform (WMP).

As the most significant growth we’ve seen for our financial professionals over the past two years has been via robust social media marketing, we’ve built our social media content around the notion that a consistent, engaged social presence is a critical component of intentional growth. The robust adoption and usage we’ve seen among a community of 7,000 financial professionals indicates that the platform has resonated strongly with both advisors and their clients.
